We have a very large allotment near the entrance to the school where we grow a wide variety of fruit and vegetables.

Our gardener keeps the site safe and ready for use by groups who visit from classes or through Forest School. We also offer a gardening club throughout the main growing and harvesting seasons and all the KS1 children have the opportunity to participate in this club.

As part of Forest School, the children visit the allotment once every half term and help with all aspects of running an allotment. It has a purpose built shelter so it can be used in any weather and is wheelchair friendly, having a number of raised beds so all children can participate.

We would love to extend the use of our allotment to get parents involved and hope to develop this in the future.
